Blanketing Ceremony June 16, 2016

Blanketing Ceremony Photos

On June 16, 2016 Jay and I held a blanketing ceremony hosted by elders of the Squamish Nation. Approximately 100 people from the North Shore Rescue, BC Ambulance and Squamish Nation communities along with friends and family attended a feast followed by drumming, singing, lovely speakers and blanketing of guests. We blanketed 20 of a dearest friends and supporters as a way of showing our gratitude for the love and support they have shown us as we navigate the road to a clean bill of health for Jay. We feel incredibly blessed to be surrounded by such a loving community of friends and family. This was our way of giving back, strengthening faith and paying our respects to the creator who continues to answer our prayers.
